What is Paganism?
Paganism is an umrella term for a set of belief systems. Many of them are based on the pre-Christian beliefs of our ancestors
and some seek to reconstruct those beliefs, such as Greek Reconstructionists, or those who seek to follow the Northern Traditions. Common themes are a strong reverence for nature, and a belief that the Divine
has both male and female characteristics, often expressed as a God and Goddess. Some pagans are polytheistic and have more than one God.
Many Pagans follow something known as the wheel of the year. Although these 8 celebrations were originally Wiccan, many Pagans
are happy to join their fellow pagans at these times of the year to celebrate and mark the turning of the wheel.
Namings, Handfastings and Funerals
Many people have got in touch with us to enquire about handfastings. Although generally pagan in nature,
handfastings can be secular if required. A handfasting is a very special and personal celebration between two people, so if you would like to discuss more
please phone Rhiannon on 07905 052954.
We are also able to provide celebrants for Baby Namings, which again, can be pagan in nature or non-religious. And finally
for that last journey that all of us must make, we are able to provide clergy to preside over funeral arrangements. Again, please contact Rhiannon on 07905 052954 for more information. We are also available
to discuss funerals should you wish to have something prepared to ease the burden on your family.
